Scientists from the Michigan Natural Features Inventory, part of the Michigan State University Extension, presented a lesson on vernal pools to the "Great Lakes" science class at Harbor Springs Middle School on Thursday. The students will be part of a monitoring program this year, helping to observe and catalog data from a local vernal pool.
